Maple Syrup Festival ONE DAY ONLY!

"Come to the DripZone" Experience tapping trees, native/pioneer methods of collecting sap, the sugar shack, the forest story, taffy on snow and "Stinger's Syrup Tree" puppet play starring 'Pappy Sap' & 'Stinger the mosquito'. Taste of Fair Havens Banquet & Concert

Homecoming!

May 21-24, 2010 (Friday to Monday)
Come and celebrate 'Spring' at Fair Havens. Our campground opens this weekend and we welcome you to join us. There will be a Sunday morning chapel service at 10am, and a Children's program will be provided. Campsite rate: $33 to $43 per night. Meals available in the Riverside Inn Dining Room or the Cafe.

Run for the "Son"

July 10, 2010 (Saturday)
2K walk/run, 5K run. Fair Havens Ministries OCE Charity Son Run, with proceeds going towards our youth ministry campus project. Join this new run for beginners and seasoned runners to "Storm for the Dorm" to replace 2 of our cabins for year-round ministry to youth for Jesus Christ.

OCE PAD30 - High School Credit Course

July 11-23, 2010
You can get a full OSS Gr. 11 Phys. Ed. credit by taking our PAD30 Outdoor Activities credit course. This includes learning how God made our bodies to be active and how to keep healthy, outdoor skills and canoeing lessons, packing and camping planning for a 5 day wilderness canoe camping trip. Limited enrollment. Must be finished Gr. 9 (1 year) at time of course.

Canoe Lessons

July 12-16, 2010 (Monday to Friday)
ORCKA Community/FHM Canoeing lessons, Monday through Friday. Tired of paddling in circles? Take some real lessons with our qualified canoe instructors in Basic A, B or C levels each afternoon, 3-5pm.

Family Canoe Trip

July 30 - August 1, 2010 (Friday to Sunday)
To Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park, Friday 11am to Sunday mid-afternoon. This trip is so much fun and often very unique for the whole family. Have you often wished you could get out away from the hustle of daily pressures and take your family into the wilderness camping? This is your opportunity! Let our experienced guide staff take care of everything. We have expedition quality equipment such as canoes, tents and cooking equipment. Learn new skills and no trace camping techniques. Beginners are welcome and will learn easily all that is needed to enjoy peaceful surroundings and meeting new friends. Look together at God's principles for marriages, families and being a "kid of God"!

Cost includes:
  • 2 nights accommodations (campsites).
  • Start on Friday morning (11 am orientation start) and be back Sunday mid-afternoon. All equipment such as tents, cooking gear, canoes, paddles, lifejackets are provided as well as camping permits and food.
  • Personal clothing, sleeping bags, ground pad, and transport to/from home is your responsibility.

Father & Son Canoe Trip

September 10-12, 2010 (Friday to Sunday)
Friday 11am to Sunday afternoon. Format is similar to the Family Trip, but enjoy the beauty of early autumn in the back country, no insects and a "Guy Time" where we tackle the impossible and "bearly" escape (that's the story we tell back home anyway!). A favourite yearly trip since 1990! "Men and boys of God" will be discussed, looking at God's timeless Biblical principles for the real world. Ooh-raw, eh!
