Fair Havens Family Camp

Fair Havens is proud to present Summer Xplosion Day Camp 2008! New themes! New activities! Same values! 


Completed Grade 1 up to completed Grade 6


7 weeks - running Monday to Friday starting July 7th, 2008.


Limit of 20 campers per week. The ratio will be 1 staff to 4 campers.


There will two senior leaders and two day camp leaders who are highly qualified and find joy in working closely with children. If necessary, special needs workers and additional leaders are available to help your children should they need extra attention.

 
A dedicated team of staff who are solely focused on the Day Camp program and its campers.

NEW IN 2008: Day Campers who have completed Grade 4 up to completed Grade 6 will participate in the Xtreme Team Youth Skills Program. The Camper will be able to choose their top 3 from 10 different skill programs, and will be assigned 2 skills based on availability, and will participate each morning in the 2 skill programs.

FREE DAY CAMP 'T-Shirt' and wristband for each child, both ensure easy identification and safety for the day camp child.

Each week has a theme which creates a fun focus for the week's events.

Morning Activities include singing, stories, games and crafts.

The 'Lean On Me Farms' petting stations and pony rides are onsite one afternoon each week. At the same time there is an awesome Children's Carnival with a Water Slide, Jump 'n' Bounce Castles, Face Painting, Ring Toss, Bean Bag Toss and great snacks.



Other supervised afternoon activities include canoeing, mini-putt, archery, paddle boats, pontoon boat rides, wagon rides, field games, sports, scavenger hunts, nature hikes and much, much more!

Hot Buffet meals at an Eat Smart®  Award winning dining room.

A last hooray with silly relay races, three legged races, potato sack races, tug-of-war and other fun team games.

Wednesday night sleepover is optional and consists of a camp-out, campfire, marshmallow roast, and attending an evening of family friendly, light hearted entertainment put on by the Family Camp staff.

 

  • DAY CAMP (Includes Lunch & Special Day Camp T-Shirt)
    Meet your leaders at the Main Office between 8 and 8:30 am; pick-up at the same place between 5:30 and 6 pm. Cost is $155 taxes included.

  • OVERNIGHT OPTION
    Dinner and breakfast will be provided. Cost is an additional $30 taxes included.

  • Hat

  • Modest Swim Suit and Towel

  • Running Shoes

  • Umbrella or Rain Coat

  • Money for Tuck (we suggest $10 to $15 for the week)

What to Bring to the Overnight Campout:

  • Sleeping Bag

  • Pillow

  • Flashlight

  • Pajamas

  • Toothbrush and Toothpaste

  • Change of Clothes for Thursday

  • Hairbrush

  • Warm Clothes

Extra Day Camp T-Shirts may be purchased for $10.00 each during Tuck Time.

All children will have the opportunity to go to the Tuck Shop everyday during the week. We recommend that parents send their child with some money on the first day (approx. $10.00 to $15.00) so their child can purchase snacks at the Tuck Shop.
