Anniversary Kick Off in Irwin Chapel

Youth Concert in Irwin Chapel

8pm - 10pm

Breathe Worship

For the past five years a band has been developing in a small blue room on the second floor of Victory Baptist Church in Newmarket, Ontario. Since 2006 they have been leading worship for the church's youth group learning and growing in God. In the fall of 2009 - after years of line up changes - the band started writing their own material finding new life in playing their own music. The impact of being able to worship God more intimately then ever before spread among their peers. The opportunity to record rose quickly and by the end of October they began their debut album in studio. After months of searching and brainstorming the name Breathe was chosen. Their first album is finished and Breathe is in the studio again working on their second album. Breathe is excited to see how God uses their efforts for His glory.

To Tell

Meet To Tell - a piano-driven pop/rock fire ball blasting life through speakers and radio waves everywhere. To Tell is the musical adventure of Zach Havens, an energetic solo performer who is backed by his band of equal dynamism. Over the past two years, Zach has sent heads turning and toes tapping across Canada and the United States with coast-to-coast radio play, a non-stop touring schedule, and one of the most unbridled shows in recent history. To Tell writes songs that are not only drenched in passion and emotion, but race at the listener with walls of guitars, vocal harmonies that soar to the sky, and, of course, Zach's signature piano notes that drop through the floor. This artist is taking the world by storm with music that is upbeat and danceable, catchy and hummable, energetic and fun for anyone and everyone. If you are a fan of the piano, music, or having a good time ever, To Tell is the perfect artist for you!

Nine O Five

Nine O Five merges worship, media, and challenging communicator in one event, to bring the life-changing love of Christ to the world.

The vision for the band Nine O Five began with its event launch in 2003. Fronted by worship leader Josh McCabe, he is joined by his sister Stephanie McCabe, and friends Tim Mann, Tom Lang, and James Watts (who also shared the stage with Josh when they both played in Canadian rock band, Hello Kelly together for several years).

Released in 2007, Nine O Five's studio project titled "The E.P", shared some realities of McCabe's struggle to fully encounter God while between busy travel schedules. "I was just in and out of town all the time, and I remember sitting down to try and write, and just had nothing. It was tough to write a love song to God, when I hadn't spent any time with Him." Out of that time in McCabe's life, came the honest songs, "When I see You", and "All Else Fades".

Getting back to their roots of hosting worship gatherings, Nine O Five has re-launched the worship events that founded the band's vision. Out of these events, Nine O Five plans to release a series of live projects through the year.

Evening Chapel

dave.jpgThis "Choose Joy! Philippians in Person" presentation features David Gast as he takes on the character of the Apostle Paul in dramatic monologue of the book of Philippians. This letter to the Philippian church is punctuated by JOY words. The words "rejoice", "joy" and "glad" appear 17 times. Paul was able to choose joy because he had discovered that "to know Christ" and to "be found in Him"" gave him the power to rise above his circumstances. His admonition to "Rejoice in the Lord always" is as much for us today as it was for the initial readers of the letter. Facing tragedy and tough challenges? We can either succumb to bitterness or we can choose joy. Paul says: Be glad! Rejoice! Choose joy!

Dave Gast was the Ministry Director at Fair Havens from 2000 - 2002.

Project 70 Years

Maintenance1.jpg Maintenance2.jpg Maintenance3.jpg

We'll be focusing this year on raising the seed funding for a significant renovation of our Maintenance/Facilities Management Compound. This area has been neglected for some time as we have focused on upgrading our accommodations and guest amenities during the past decade. Now it's time to give our backend a facelift to improve aesthetics but more than that – to improve the efficiency of support for future programming and facility development and maintenance. The project will be phased over 3 years, beginning in late 2011. The total project cost is estimated at $400,000; this amount will be finalized as details are confirmed.

Our TARGET for 2011 is to raise $70,000 (kind of appropriate since it's our 70th!). These funds are over and above the normal annual donations required to support our capital projects and children/youth ministry. May I urge you to begin praying how the LORD would have you and your family participate in raising $70,000 in 2011.

Looking forward to seeing and serving you in 2011 as we give thanks to God for the past 70 years and anticipate a great future of life changing ministry for Fair Havens, to the glory of God!

In Christ we serve,

The Leadership Team and Board,

Fair Havens Ministries
