Our Youth Ministry program is for Xtreme Team (completed grades 4-6), Jr. Teens (completed grades 7-8) and Sr. Teens (completed grades 9-12)

Our youth programming for 2023 will provide space for Christian fellowship where teens can explore, grow, and be encouraged in their faith as they join in community building activities throughout the week. These activities will include participating in games, engaging in devotionals, and contributing to discussions lead by our youth ministry team leaders. Come prepared to have fun and fellowship with others your age!

Registration

Online registrations accepted beginning May 1, 2023.

Weekly Schedule

All Junior, Senior & XT youth will have morning sessions in The Fair Havens Outdoor Classroom Chapel; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, from 9:30-11:45am. Dont miss out on our kick off event for the Junior/Senior teens on Sundays at 2:00pm in The Fair Havens Outdoor Classroom! There is also an XT chapel run on Sundays at 10:30 in The Fair Havens Outdoor Classroom Chapel, for XT youth!

All youth are invited back to The Fair Havens Outdoor Classroom, in the evening, for a Program that runs from 7-8:30pm. All youth are encouraged to bring their running shoes for both morning, and evening programs.

XT’s Jr. & Sr. Teens

Completed Grade 4 up to & including Grade 6.

Sundays: 10:30am

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays:
Program runs 9:30am to 11:45am

Completed Grade 7 up to and including Grade 12.

Sundays: 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays:
Program runs 9:30am to 11:45am

Youth Ministry Skills Choices

All youth will be able to choose 2 skill choices for the week.

Active Sports

Active Sports is a skill time in which the youth will participate in a variety of different sports and games led by the skill instructors. Sports range from basketball & soccer to ultimate frisbee and football, including a vast array of sports in between.

Archery

Archery is a skill time in which the youth will participate in learning about archery & bow and arrows, as well as participating in shooting arrows. The archery staff may have certain challenge days such as “try to shoot the pop can ” or other fun exercises to allow the youth to grow in their archer abilities.

Baking 101 ($15)

Baking is a skill time in which the youth will participate in baking different snacks each day. The baking staff have planned specific baked goods to cook each day and the youth will get the chance to measure, bake, and eat the tasty treats that they will be making!

Creative Arts

Creative Arts is a skill time in which youth will have the opportunity to be creative and make a different craft each day, or create a big craft that they will continue to work on throughout the week. The Creative Arts staff member has planned crafts for each day of the week and will encourage the youth to express creativity and uniqueness through their artwork.

Out in the Wild

Out in the Wild is a skill time in which youth will have the opportunity to test their knowledge of the outdoors and gain useful skills and tips in regards to being and working outdoors! Some of the skills that youth learn may be; shelter building, fishing, pond study, and active games such as instincts that resemble life in the wild!

Rock Climbing

Rock Climbing is a skill in which youth will have the opportunity to climb Mount Moriah (The Fair Havens Outdoor Classroom Rock Wall), and push themselves to accomplish different levels of climbing difficulty. The Rock Climbing staff will incorporate fun activities, alongside rock climbing, throughout the week which include shark pit, and some other challenges that they plan.

Watercraft

Watercraft is a skill in which youth will be able to experience time out on the water. The staff will plan specific days for youth to experience many different types of watercraft such as, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, or playing game on the lily pad.
